We would like to inform you of changes to the structure of the Corporate Body authority table, which has now been modified in June publication to make it easier to handle changes in labels and information linked to a specific body (identified by the same URI). The URI of the current concept remains identical. Old labels are now  attached to a ‘historical’ concept, which is itself linked to the current concept via the dct:replaces/dct:isReplacedBy properties.

This ‘historical’ concept has a start date and an end date, corresponding to the validity dates of the labels, and are, by default, deprecated.

The structure of the URI of historical concepts is based on that of the current concept, followed by the year of the start of validity and a number, as shown in the following examples:

These changes will be available online from the 24th of June 2025, and will be visible on the EU Vocabularies site from this time.

The European Commission invites you to participate in a public consultation as part of the GreenData4All initiative. This initiative is crucial for supporting Europe's green and digital transformation by making environmental data more available, accessible, and reusable.

The consultation invites feedback from all stakeholders, including EU citizens, environmental and geospatial data experts from the Member States, businesses, NGOs, academia, and international partners. The consultation is open until 30 April 2025, and submissions can be made in all 24 EU languages.

Your participation will help ensure that the updated rules on environmental data meet the needs of all users, from policymakers and businesses to the general public. By contributing to this initiative, you will be part of shaping a more sustainable and digitally advanced Europe.
